The Future of Our Community

Starts With You

We have a very special town here in central Florida, and I want to help maintain its charm, sense of community, and welcoming nature. If you think we need lower HOA dues, better communication, and more resident-only activities, I am here to advocate for you!

Fiscal Responsibility.

Effective Communication.

All Residents as a Priority.

More About Jared

My name is Jared Wise, and I am a current Director on the CROA Board of Directors. I ran for this position because I believe we need new ideas from a more diverse group of residents that genuinely mirror our community.

I have been a resident of Celebration for ten years, creating a lot of memories and developing many long-lasting friendships in our charming town.

I have previous experience serving as president, secretary, and treasurer of a large homeowners association as well as multiple other non-profit organizations. As a respected professional in my field, I have extensive executive management and board experience, an exceptional understanding of fiscal priorities, and an ability to maintain professional decorum while acting in high-pressure situations.

Focused on YOUR Interests

  • HOA Dues will have increased almost 20% over a three-year period. And while this was initially introduced as a “less than $100/month” benefit to residents, we now spend well over that in 2023. Even the recent potential surprise container costs from Celebration Sanitation Services regarding recycling containers is something that should have been reviewed and shared with residents when discussing the already 9% increase in 2023 dues.

We need more financial oversight to reduce spending that has gotten out of control and is forecast to continue to grow.

I will work closely with the Finance Committee, taking their advice in areas of erroneous spending as well as looking for places to reduce unnecessary overhead costs.

Finally, vendor contracts need to be reviewed more in-depth to reduce irresponsible spending, eliminate monopolies and nepotism that prohibit competition, and to ensure our residents best interests comes first.

  • Residents deserve to know what is going on in Celebration in a way that is fast, readily accessible, and easy to understand.

I will work to ensure wider distribution of information, better turn-over information to new residents, and fast, effective ways of sharing urgent news with residents.

  • We need more programs offered exclusively to residents of all household types.

What’s Happening?

The best way for me to share my perspective, opinions, and insight is through this website. You can learn more about my positions on relevant matters and my experience as a CROA board member through my blog found here. Its interactive too, so feel free to comment and point out where you agree or disagree, and share feedback! That is, after all, the point of all of this. I’m just here to execute what the majority of the residents want, so sharing your opinions and creating healthy discussion is absolutely welcome. Let’s also be respectful when speaking to and about others… that’s the Celebration thing to do!

I am not sharing my feelings or thoughts as a resident on this site, though I’m happy to discuss and engage with others on that level if you are interested in discussing further.

FAQs

  • …fixing the boardwalks?

    …managing street sweeping?

    …the Christmas event traffic?

Let’s all remember that CROA and its board of directors manages the homeowners association (HOA) aspect of Celebration. Not water systems, light posts, and the downtown shops. There is frequent residential confusion about what CROA does and does not do, and I’ll work to both help communicate those details clearly and also make efficient those services that CROA is tasked with.

  • I am available via the contact information at the bottom of this site, and welcome further discussion on genuine inquiries and interests.
